Apr 02, 2003; Long Beach, CA, USA; A legal suit was filed in a Pasadena courthouse friday 03-28-03 by William Marler on behalf of 12 year old Cayley Bowles, who allegedley contracted an infection and developed Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS) after eating @ an independently owned franchise of In-N-Out burger in Kettleman City, CA. The lawsuit seeks damages for $250,000 medical expenses plus millions for future costs related to risk of kidney failure plus punative damages. Marler claims that this E. Coli infection could have been prevented if proper precautions were taken preventing cross contamination of raw, cooked and baked goods.
